Your Impact

Reporting into the Applications Engineering Manager, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for the selection and use of Qualitrol products to satisfy customer application requirements. Main duties include but are not limited to: technical support for customers and manufacturing, sales and product management support functions as appropriate, preparation of technical support documents.

Heres where youll demonstrate your proficiencies:
Provide customer technical assistance for product questions and problems from the point of quotation request through post shipment and installation.

Aid the commercial team in terms of technical responses and guidance on quotations.

Research and identify product solutions. Initiate New Product models, derivatives, specials, as vital to meet agreed upon customer needs.

Be very proactive and customer responsive. Customer feedback should be positive regarding response quality and timeliness.

Support manufacturing by answering questions as required and trouble-shooting order related problems.

Analyze product failures and customer concerns. Assist in customer quality concerns. Generate reports and CQCs as required.

Management of small and medium customer maintenance contracts and report monthly technical support activity.

Provide Internal Training on Qualitrol Products

Travel in support of Field Service and Sales will be required periodically.

Project management of customer issues from occurrence to resolution.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

BS/Engineering Degree Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or similar.

Must be able to read and speak in English and Spanish.

Knowledge in telecom techniques for remote device monitoring: TCP/IP, modem protocols, serial links etc. (preferred)

Good software implementation/debug skills and hardware troubleshooting is vital.

Excellent verbal and writing skills with a strong customer service focus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution is a plus.
